Lynn, I think you did a nice job with this presentation. The clip art adds interest. I really liked the point you made about the fact that teachers should make themselves available to students who have concerns about things they have encountered on the internet. Some times kids don't know who they can tell. They certainly don't want to tell their parents! Having a teacher they can trust is really important.

I really enjoyed your choice of clip art animation it really help the presentation. It was clear and concise. I also agree with Shelly's comments about the resource teachers should become in the age of Web 2.0.

Lynn, terrific presentation! I agree with your statements regarding our responsibilities as educators. It is our duty to teach safe and responsible computer use to children. I liked the "Tips for Parents" and "Tips for Students" slides. Finally, the part about making yourself available to students is huge. Shelly summed up my thoughts as well, developing that trust with students is so important.

This presentation had lots of useful information. I particularly liked the advice to become techno savvy so that your students don't discount you.

Lynn,
Your presentation was super! I thought it was very easy to read and understand. Your information addressed all parties involved...students, teachers, and parents. Having all three people on the same page is the only way that the Internet can be used as effectively and securely as it should. Great Job!
